Our Finishes
Essential Finishes
Comprises a PVD coated or painted finish on a steel substrate.
Coloration options vary and are not limited to those presented herein, whereas these represent the most specified. Colors included herein are chrome, nickel, champagne, brass, rose, copper, bronze and black. Other alterations and possible RAL colors may be achieved, including gold, gunmetal and similar.
As a standard, they come either as matte (no / very little gloss, sandblasted), satin brushed (minor gloss, one-directional mechanical brushing) and polished (high gloss, mechanically polished).
These finishes are characterized by a higher level of consistency in coloration, flexibility in types of products that can be fabricated in such finishes and great durability when in PVD finish.
The finishes in PVD can also have different textures and brushing options, which are applied before the PVD coat is applied. These includes hammered, ribbed, embossed textures, as well as one-direction, omni-directional (scratched) and radial brushing. Final coating may not be needed, but certain wax or lacquer may be applied.
VE options are limited to certain product types and include Painted finish on Steel substrate or Anodized finishes on Aluminum substrate.
Signature Finishes
Comprises a metal substrate with chemically treated surfaces via patination, electroplating and other custom effects.
The selection herein is curated in line with the most vastly specific specialty metal finishes in the industry. The selection can be broader, to include further customization in line with bespoke design requirements. Such endeavors entail additional R&D so as to most similarly align with the design intent.
As a standard, they come as matte or satin, meaning minor level of gloss. Typically, gloss can be enhanced to some effect with the type of final coating that is implemented, such as lacquers.
They are artisanal products and are appreciated for their authentic look. Consistency is more at a level of look and feel, as this is not a mass-production type of material. When fabricated, they are typically coated with a lacquer, wax or other surface treatment in order to enhance its aesthetics and durability.
These finishes are limited to textures and brushing techniques, as they are already naturally textured during the chemical treatment processes.
These surfaces are not recommended for exterior use and should be kept clear of harmful chemicals and mechanical damages, to avoid rust. Please refer to the technical data sheets for more information.
